Joel Rojas was born in Mexico and graduated from the Universidad Nacional Autonóma de México (UNAM) with a Bachelor Degree in Political Science. Additionally, he holds a diploma of the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económica (CIDE) in Strategy & Political Analysis; another from the Escuela Libre de Derecho along with the International Chamber of Commerce (ELD/ICC) in International Trade.
He started his professional career at the National Executive Committee of the Institutional Party (PRI), responsible for several political areas. During that experience, he obtained plenty of political connections working and crossing paths with many who, during the past decades, have governed Mexico.
Joel Rojas was a co-founder of the first lobbying department in the Federal Public Administration at the Ministry of Finance; as part of this activity, he was the responsible lobbyist in the Mexican Congress (Lower House) economic and regulatory issues. As a lobbyist, Joel has worked with all political parties in Mexico, always with successful negotiations.
He also was the co-founder of the National Lobbyists Association. Besides that, Joel worked for the National Security Center that was a part of the Federal Ministry of Interior. The Inter-American Development Bank / the Mexican ministry for Labor and Social Welfare was their consultant for legislative and regulatory issues, labor policy, and political analysis.
Counting on this broad and effective experience in lobbying, regulations, and government affairs, Joel was hired by Daimler Group in México as Government Affairs Manager he was responsible for the relations, negotiations, and Lobbying with Federal, State, and Local Governments as well as with the Mexican Congress and State Congresses. Besides that, he was in charge as representative of Daimler before Chambers and Entrepreneurial Associations.
Joel currently is CEO of JOFA Consultores Empresa, Política y Gobierno (JOFA Consulting) that is specialized in lobbying, regulations, and government affairs (Federal Congress, States Congresses and three levels of Government); attracting investments, incentives issues related to foreign investments in the federal and local fields; as well as, high-level presence in the main entrepreneur Chambers and Associations.
